Fan Photos

For many years, the Worldcon Fan Gallery has consisted of a printed set of photos of various fans well known within the community. For Loncon 3, we’re having a projected Fan Gallery, using digitised versions of many traditional Fan Gallery photos with some additions.

We’d like you to contribute those additions to the gallery. Please check your digital photos for the following:

Photographs need to be high resolution as they will be projected. Save them as PNG files (2mb-8mb file size). Photos should be named:

PERSONINPHOTO.by.PHOTOGRAPHER.png

Please don’t send photos of people who don’t want to be included (as this is a last minute project, we don’t have the time to follow-up for permissions), partial face photos, or sleeping fan photos. We’re looking for good photos of people who’d enjoy being included.

Before you send anything, check here for some sample photos. I’ll be compiling a list of photos we already have here. Please don’t send a photo of a fan that we already have, and don’t send multiple individual photos of the same fan. Choose the best photo of the fan that you have.

Please email me either a list of people you have photographed or some photos (no more than five in one email).

This project will close on 31 July in order to have all the photos ready for Loncon 3.
