Enter the Loncon 3 Photography Competition
Our photography competition is now closed. The call for entries is left here for reference.
Entries are invited in three categories, subject to the rules and guidelines set out here:
- Alien Earth
- Future Cities Today
- Junior (open to anyone under 16, on any Science Fiction or Fantasy theme)
There is an entry fee – please see items 5 and 6 in the rules and guidelines.
In each of the senior categories, prizes will be awarded as follows:
- First prize: £100
- Second prize: £50
- Third prize: £25
If any of these prizewinners are not members of the convention, they will also be awarded a free day admission for Sunday 17 August 2014.
In the junior category, prizes will be:
- First prize: £50
- Second prize: £30
- Third prize: £20
At the judges’ discretion, there may be up to five “honourable mentions” in each category.
The competition will be judged by Peter Young, Elizabeth Billinger, and David Findlay. The administrator is Teresa Hehir and all correspondence should go to: email@example.com
How to Enter
All images must be submitted as JPEGs, saved at a high quality level, and must be less than 5MB in total. Please do not include borders, watermarks or signatures on the image. The minimum size is 1600 pixels wide (for a horizontal image) or 1600 pixels tall (for a vertical image).
Submit your photograph(s) to firstname.lastname@example.org, with relevant information about yourself (including your age if you are entering in the Junior category) and about the photographs. The administrator will contact you to confirm receipt of your entries and enable you to pay the appropriate entry fee. Once you have done so, your photographs will be entered into the competition.
